Monty Wines

Monty Wines is an independent wine merchant based in Bristol and run by Tim, a top guy who left a job in marketing to take on the successful family business, and the beautiful collections of rare and hard to find wines that came with it! He is passionate about bringing tasty bottles of wine to the people of the South West and beyond, with a keen interest in all things natural and organic, as well as still specialising in fine wines where it all started.

The brief was simple…create a brand identity in honour of Monty, the family dog. But make it as stylish and eye-catching as the unique wines themselves. And crucially, make it appeal to a more youthful, creative, craft ale loving audience who are looking to broaden their palette.

 

Rejected concepts

An eye-catching, modern brand identity with an element of playfulness that really stands out - nothing like the outdated wine merchants that you see everywhere else. Monty Wines has gone from strength to strength since the brand launch, and long may it continue. This was one of the smallest (in terms of budget) projects i’ve worked on, but one of my favourite and most rewarding.
